Foot health assessment - first appointment
All NEW foot health clients must book this service prior to making an appointment for routine foot care.
I will take a detailed medical history and undertake a comprehensive analysis to include a visual inspection and neurovascular assessment of the feet and lower limbs.
This service also includes nail cutting and shaping, initial callus and corn reduction as time allows, foot cream application, future treatment recommendations and planning as necessary. For example, we can discuss how best to treat a fungal nail infection you might have or decide on a longer-term strategy for the correction and management of dry, cracked heels.

Non-surgical correction of ingrown toenails
My signature treatment.
The application of a nail bracing system offers pain-free treatment for involuted nails or nails that tend to grow in at the sides – as is often seen on the big toes.
Working with applied tension, this non-surgical treatment offers a great option for nails that are a constant source of discomfort and where the patient would prefer to avoid nail surgery.
Nails can take up to 12 months to correct, and you will need several appointments. However, you will obtain relief very quickly after the first application.
Nails on smaller toes and children’s toes are also suitable for nail bracing.

Verrucae treatment
Where there is a build-up of callus over the verruca(e) which is causing pain, the hard skin around your verruca(e) will be debrided and the lesion dressed.
As there are various treatments for verrucae, we will discuss the pros and cons of each option in relation to your verruca(e) type, medical history and lifestyle to decide upon the best course of action for you.

Verrutop verrucae treatment
Verrutop is a new, almost painless treatment for stubborn verrucae and warts. It is particularly suitable for children from 6 years as it requires no dressings.
Once applied, the verrucae will gradually turn darker in colour and dry out. This starts to happen within a few days. Clinical trials have reported a remission rate of 89% of patients after a maximum of 6 applications.
Appointments are required every 2 weeks.

Lacuna Method - Specialist Package Treatment for Persistent Fungal Nail Infections
Following a positive test for a fungal infection and discussion with Jane, you may decide to choose this specialist treatment plan. A number of tiny holes are drilled painlessly into the nail allowing topically-applied antifungal treatments to reach the nail bed and treat the infection.
I offer a package for this treatment to include the procedure itself followed by three review appointments at 8 week intervals for nail care, the removal of as much infected nail as possible and to drill further holes into the nail if required. I can also provide you with the antifungal medications you need to apply throughout the course of your treatment.
This treatment may be recommended particularly if you would like to avoid taking oral medication and where the infection is not likely to respond well to medicaments applied only to the top surface of the nail.
